The 522 Crab Boat by Specmar is designed as a light and fast boat with outboard propulsion and can be sail in almost every weather and water conditions. The hull includes 2 separate fueltanks in the bottom construction under the cockpit deck. The cabin has limited headroom (1m70) for maximum stability but sufficient length to allow 2 (foldable) beds for overnight accommodation.

The hull shape is designed for engine capacities up till 225 hp, capable of speeds up till 60 km/hr and more comfortable cruising speeds of 40 km/hr, subject to loads and operational conditions. The design complies with CE- category A.

The hull has excellent stability and handling characteristics even at high speeds and the “Spray-rails” in the outer hull provide additional hull strength and a sportive look. The main construction is a robust and sturdy combination of longitudinal an d transverse members and includes the “Delta Skipad” Specmar’s trademark for enhanced planning performance and stability, with good fuel economy and speed with limited horsepower.

The kit has been modified by Bruce Roberts Europe BV to comply with the European codes and rules, as well as production standards. The Bruce Roberts Europe pre-cut building kit consists of extremely accurate cut parts from first class marine grade aluminum, including precision markings, the pre-forming of all parts and all profiles needed to complete the construction. A comprehensive set of assembly drawings and step by step instructions for a fast and easy assembly are also included.
